Hi. I'm Dr Penny Pullan!
My experience of virtual and hybrid teams began when 9/11 forced me to run a major programme virtually. This sudden, virtual immersion was completely unplanned, and technology was very limited. I felt as if I had been thrown in the deep end.
I drew on my facilitation skills to work in an innovative, new way . This worked for us: the programme was a success. I went on to develop Mars Inc’s first guidelines and training for remote teams.
Now I lead Making Projects Work, where I help people overcome the challenges of virtual/hybrid leadership and teams, especially in a context of change.
During COVID19 lockdowns, my book 'Virtual Leadership' became a bestseller and I was flooded by requests to help. 'Making Workshops Work' came out in 2021, focusing on the new normal, combining in-person, hybrid and virtual meetings.
Remote and hybrid work are here to stay. We all need to be able to work effectively with others who aren't in the room, and I'm here to help you to be best you can at virtual/hybrid. I've done this for 23 years, and have developed confidence and competence in large numbers of people.

How is this course delivered?
This is an online programme, with both live, interactive sessions delivered via Zoom and modules in our online learning environment to work through at your own pace, with supporting documents and tools. You can access the programme via our app, as well as online, so you can use it wherever suits you.
What's the maximum number of participants?
The Engage! programme has a maximum of 16 participants, so you will get personal attention and input from Dr Penny Pullan.
What ongoing access will I have?
You will receive four content modules that you can browse whenever you need them online or on our mobile app. Use them into the future, giving you a lasting benefit. We guarantee that the materials will remain available for at least two years after your programme finishes.
What about the live sessions?
There will be four live sessions, lasting up to 75 minutes each, so that you can experience engagement, build connections and learn alongside the other participants. These sessions will be recorded and transcribed, so that you won’t miss anything and you can quickly search or scan to find any contents afterwards. These are likely to run on Friday lunchtimes UK time, but the time will be chosen to suit the participants.
